Craniosacral Therapy

What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that offers support to the physical and emotional body by intently tuning into the holding patterns of the head, spinal column, and sacrum.

What to expect
In these sessions, our therapists communicate with your body to help re-establish healthy movement in the bones and cerebrospinal fluid. This practice is a non-invasive form of bodywork and is much different than massage! Using the weight of a nickel the therapist holds various areas on the body and tunes into the subtle rhythm of the fluid within the system. Yes, we can feel that! Although each client will experience craniosacral therapy differently it is common that we hear that craniosacral therapy is "deeply relaxing" as well as feelings of being "nurtured" and "floaty".  In our sessions at True Bleu Healing Arts your therapist will check in with you and make sure that you are being offered the utmost support. We are sure to work within your boundaries.

Our View
When the practitioner and the client both tune into the body's current state of being, and as we support the nervous system (the two ends of the spinal column), it allows the client to come back into their body's innate well-being. As we say often in our practice, "we can not heal when we are in analytical mode." Craniosacral Therapy often allows the body to achieve a "no-mind" state, offering peace, quiet, and presence to both, receiver and practitioner.  Simply allowing the body to rest in this way offers profound shifts in the physical, mental, and emotional being. We value how much this work can help others achieve a quieter mind, allowing the receiver to connect to their inner-being and heal on deep levels.

Where did you study?
Starting in June 2019 our therapists, Sophie and Sydney started their studies in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in Charlottesville, Virginia with Janet Evergreen. Our approach to this work combines the osteopathic practices, as well as the subtle energy system and buddhist philosophies. We are committed and passionate about furthering our education to help support people with anxiety and depression. As of December 2022, we continue our studies deeper into the vagus system and CST.
