True Blue Healing Arts Policies

We prioritize creating a safe, respectful, and professional environment for our clients. Our policies are in place to ensure the well-being of both our clients and therapists. Please familiarize yourself with all of our policies before booking bodywork or a virtual support session with us.

Sexual Misconduct

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any form of sexual misconduct during massage sessions. Our therapists are committed to providing a safe, professional, and respectful environment for all clients. Any sexual advances, comments, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. If a client engages in such behavior, the session will be immediately terminated, and the client will be charged the full amount for the session and be unable to return. Additionally, appropriate legal actions may be pursued.

Covid-19

For the safety and wellbeing of all, as of July, 2020 we have the following policies in place:

Safety Protocols:

Masks are currently optional to enter our building (2024)
• Our sanitizing procedures include: wiping down chairs, light switches, treatment tables and door handles, changing/disposing of linens.
• We have a HEPA / UV air purification system in the room running at all times.

Before your session you are to fill out a form stating you have not been sick within
the past 10 days. Please do not come in for a massage session if you have any Covid-19 or cold symptoms. If you have been exposed to Covid-19 and you do not show any symptoms we ask that you please take a Covid test and text a photo of your results to us 804-402-4643 with your name. If your test is negative we may see you for a session. Please do your best to protect yourself and others and wear a mask if you have been exposed.

If you wish for your therapist to wear a mask during the session please request that in your appointment notes while scheduling online. If you have any underlying conditions and have been sick or feel you may become sick we do not recommend massage at this time. Especially if you have any of the following applies:

  • Chronic Lung Disease

  • 65 Years or Older

  • Moderate to severe asthma

  • Heart conditions

  • Compromised or suppressed immunity

  • Diabetes

  • Chronic kidney disease

  • Liver disease

Cancellation Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring the cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. However, to ensure the smooth functioning of our business and to accommodate other clients, we have implemented the following policy:

Cancellation with 24 Hours' Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' advance notice. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another client. Failure to provide the required notice will result in a charge of 50% of the appointment price no matter the circumstance. This is also implemented if you reschedule a session within the 24 hour window.

No Show Policy

If you fail to show up for your scheduled appointment without notice, you will be charged the full amount of the appointment. It is considered a no-show if you are 20 minutes late to an appointment. We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations may occur, however we implement our policies despite the circumstances to protect our therapists livelihoods. We appreciate your consideration when booking with us.

Tardiness & Forms

We ask that you arrive to your initial appointment 10 minutes early and to follow up appointments 5 minutes early. This is to ensure that you and the therapist have proper time to go over forms and to maximize your time on the table. Please note that you are charged for the initial booked service length despite your tardiness. All sessions begin and end at the time they are booked. If you fail to fill out your intake forms before you arrive you will be asked to fill them out on your phone in person - this will cut into your time on the table.

Non-Medical Advice

True Blue Healing Arts provides massage therapy and somatic bodywork services to support relaxation, stress relief, and overall well-being. While our therapists are highly trained and knowledgeable, it is important to note that our services are not a substitute for medical or mental health care. We do not provide medical diagnoses, treatments, or advice. If you have any medical or mental health concerns, we strongly recommend consulting with a qualified healthcare professional or seeking appropriate medical health care.

Confidentiality and Privacy

At True Blue Healing Arts, we prioritize client confidentiality and privacy. All personal and health information shared during consultations and sessions will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and stored securely. We adhere to legal and ethical guidelines (HIPAA) regarding the handling of client information.

Insurance Coverage & FSA

Sorry, True Bleu Healing Arts does not take insurance at this time. We do however take FSA cards and can supply itemized receipts for therapeutic massage services upon request.

Payment & Pricing Policy

Our pricing structure is designed to reflect the quality of our services and the expertise of our therapists. We aim to provide exceptional value and ensure a fair and transparent pricing policy for our clients. All payments are due at the time of service. Please note that there is a price increase applied to any invoice that is not paid in the first week it is received.

Late Payment Fees

By signing our policies form before booking you are releasing us to charge your card on file for any services rendered. True Bleu Healing Arts reserves the right to pursue legal action to collect unpaid invoices, including any late payment fees. Payments are due at time of service.

Credit Card Transactions

To streamline the scheduling process and secure your appointment at True Blue Healing Arts, we require a valid credit card to be provided at the time of booking for all online appointments. This policy ensures that our clients receive the utmost convenience and that our therapists' time is respected.

When scheduling your appointment through our online platform, you will be prompted to enter your credit card information to confirm and hold your reservation. Rest assured that your credit card details will be securely stored and processed in compliance with industry-standard security protocols.

Appointment Booking

We prioritize the safety, privacy, and well-being of our clients. To ensure a comprehensive, safe and personalized massage therapy experience, we require the completion of specific forms before your appointment. These forms include:

HIPAA Forms: As a healthcare provider, we are committed to upholding the privacy and security of your personal health information. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) forms are necessary to obtain your consent and acknowledge your rights regarding the use and disclosure of your health information. These forms outline how your information may be used, shared, and protected in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Intake Forms for Medical Information: Our intake forms gather essential information about your medical history, current health conditions, and any specific concerns or goals you may have for your massage therapy session. This information allows our therapists to tailor the session to your needs, consider any contraindications or precautions, and provide a safe and effective treatment.

Payment Policies

Our payment policies form ensures that you are aware of our accepted forms of payment, pricing structure, and any applicable fees or charges. It outlines our cancellation policy, including the required notice period and associated fees. Please see release form while booking for updated payment policies.

Refund Policy

We strive to provide our clients with high-quality self-care tools, self-care eBooks, and bodywork sessions in person and online. To ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of our products and services, we have implemented a strict no refunds policy for these offerings. Please carefully review the following policy:

Self-Care Tools: Our self-care tools, such as massage balls, foam rollers, and other therapeutic aids, are carefully selected and recommended by our experienced therapists. Due to the nature of these products and the potential for hygiene concerns, we cannot accept returns or provide refunds once the self-care tools have been purchased. We encourage clients to thoroughly research and consider their needs before making a purchase. We also cannot be liable for the improper use of any and all tools.

eBooks: Our eBooks are created to provide valuable information, tips, and guidance on various topics related to health, wellness, and self-care. Once an eBook has been purchased and downloaded, it is non-refundable. We advise clients to review the eBook's description, table of contents, and any available excerpts to ensure it aligns with their interests and expectations before making a purchase.

Virtual Sessions: Our virtual sessions, including online classes, workshops, and consultations, are designed to offer guidance, support, and personalized experiences. Once a virtual session has been scheduled and payment has been made, refunds are not available. We recommend reviewing the session details, including the topic, duration, and any prerequisites, to ensure it meets your needs and aligns with your schedule before registering. Please note that we are somatic bodyworkers and massage therapists. Please do not take anything that we say as medical advice and see an experienced medical or mental health professional.

Packages - At True Blue Healing Arts, we offer massage and virtual self-care packages. These packages are carefully curated to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to self-care. We do not offer refunds for any purchased packages. Please also note that packages expire after 4 months from the date of purchase. However, you are able to gift your loved ones a portion of your package.

If you encounter any issues with a defective self-care tool, please contact the manufacturer. If you experience any technical difficulties with our e-books or videos, please write to us at truebluehealing@gmail.com. We will make every effort to address and resolve the matter to your satisfaction.
