May you be happy

The style of Traditional Thai medicine we practice is called Gaai Ya Paap Bam Bat or Folk Physical Therapy. This form of Thai bodywork has many influences - Therevada Buddhist practices, Indian, Chinese, and Thai shamanic folk healing. Thai massage sessions focus on clearing 10 main Sen (energy lines), which cover all muscle groups and organs. Thai massage is performed with the client wearing comfortable, loose-fitted clothing while lying on thick mat on the floor. Traditionally, Thai sessions last a minimum of 90 minutes and no oils or lotions are used. Using a blend of element-based techniques/philosophy, compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure, the therapist uses her hands, elbows, forearms, knees, and feet to preform passive yoga poses to you. Thai massage offers a mind-body-spirit approach that western massage does not. Throughout our practice at True Bleu Healing Arts we approach healing the body with the basic fundamentals of Nuad Boran (traditional Thai healing). Like the Reusi, our focus is of health, longevity, luck and metta (loving kindness).
NUAD BORAN
Thai Massage, also known as Thai Physical Therapy, Thai Yoga Bodywork, Thai Bodywork, Thai Healing or Nuad Thai in it's native language, is just one facet of an in-depth, ancient healing system. Originating in Chang Mai, Thailand, this medicine has been practiced by traditional folk healers (Reusi) for 2,500 years. The intention of Thai bodywork is to cleanse and rejuvenate your energy system, and reset your entire muscular, skeletal, nervous, and digestive systems - allowing the body to find balance and work efficiently.
Traditional Thai Folk Healing is composed of:
Dat Ton (self healing)
Spiritual Practice
Bone Setting
Dietary and Herbal Wisdom
Massage
Thai Massage is a piece of Traditional Thai Medicine (TTM). It is known as a moving meditation and takes place on a thick cushioned mat on the floor. Thai massage relieves deep rooted tension in your muscles, allows space in the body and the mind to rest. With rhythmic rocking, long pulls, passive stretching, & therapeutic massage techniques we realign the body-mind connection. This service will leave you feeling rested, yet uplifted.
The Benefits of Thai Massage
Referred to as a moving meditation, Thai massage incorporates mindfulness, passive stretching, gentle rocking, long pulls, and rhythmic compression. Through assisted yoga postures, we open up your joints and relieve tension in your muscles, thereby allowing healing energy to move freely throughout your body.
When you come to our studio to receive Thai massage, we ask that you please come wearing comfortable clothing, preferably long sleeves and pants. This allows the body to open and release fully and comfortably during stretching.
